Well we have a Keynestock audtion next month – this week has been pretty quiet for band stuff – Amanda has been busy but last weekend we sat down together and went through the tune that she had lyrics to fit to. It was great to have someone who has ideas for lyrics for a change from musical input and lyrical input always coming solely from me! Thats not to say that I won’t try and help out with lyrics though…

So far we have ideas for 3 songs to cover and two originals to do too – that should take up most of our 20 minute slot. What is weird is that I had a dream last night that I was at the audition and we were deciding a band name!! It’d be a bit late for that lol… I dunno, the things that come out in dreams are just odd!

Orange Street Music has a live event most nights too.

A point to note is that events on campus are likely to be changed for the final term due to the noise ban – I will update the list when I hear more about those events affected.

Sadly due to exam term the live night at Mungo’s has been cancelled but I hear that Alex is trying to arrange for an alternative venue (possibly on another day of the week). I have taken down a couple of other nights that will be off due to exams and the noise ban.

What the fek?? The music industry are serious about stopping people becoming musicians in the first place?? They are also serious about suing freedom of thought – the freely available guitar tabs are peoples own interpretation of a song, NOT a rip off of the published tablature, if there is any available at all.

I am shocked at this, stopping mp3 downloads ok, thats fair game but stopping people learning off of other people is just plain arogant and infurating! mxtabs seems to have stopped its listing of tabs as the site directs to its sister forum site rather than let you search for tabs!

Whats going on? is it me not being able to navigate their new site or has the best guitar tab resource on the web just gone?
