Having met up with a singer (Amanda) who was interested in starting up a band on campus, having a little jam and hearing her sing (amazingly I might add!), I went with her to meet up with a drummer (Rich), bassist (Steve) and keyboardist (Tish) that she had also met through thestudentbar. Everyone seemed to have a fair bit of experience and enthusiasm and all with an open mind as to the direction we go with our music!
It went really well – it makes a change to be involved with people that are eager to get things moving and hopefully we should be doing Keynestock! I think the consensus is to start off with Mr Brightside as a cover to jam with and work with some of my ideas also with the aim of trying to be original from the start if we can!
It looks like its all go! Meeting up with everyone at mine this week to go through ideas and stuff, should be good!!
